Serule Cat
From a kind shop Doorstep to a Life of Love

A ginger cat became a daily visitor at a small shop, where the kind staff always spared him scraps of food. He became part of their routine, a familiar face who brightened their days with his chatter and charm.
Then one day, he didn’t show up. The staff grew worried, but a few days later he returned, limping and with his leg badly injured. His condition was so severe that he could no longer fend for himself. The staff knew they couldn’t stand by, so they reached out to AATFB for help. A call to action was raised for funds, and the community did not disappoint.

Serule’s journey from the streets to safety is proof that compassion makes all the difference. He may have lost a leg, but he gained a second chance, and he continues to inspire everyone who meets him with his courage and his boundless affection.
Our team quickly transported him to Gaborone, where veterinarians examined him. The news was heartbreaking: the leg was too damaged to heal, and amputation was the only way forward.
The surgery went smoothly, and Serule amazed everyone with his resilience. Within days he was learning to move again, his determination shining through. What struck us most was his spirit, still talkative, still affectionate, still full of life.
